Umbrella Fern

Form and Size: An erect fern to 1m high

Distribution: Occurs from Cape York to Victoria

Fronds: Erect and umbrella like, with pinnules at an angle of 45° to the axis.  Margins toothed, never lobed

Notes:  An attractive fern, often seen in large colonies along creeks and moist gullies,
here photographed at Birthday Creek Falls. Reportedly difficult to propagate.
