Form and Size: A small shrub, 1-3m high

Distribution: Across northern Australia; usually near the coast, sometimes in rainforest

Leaves: Pinnate (occasionally unifoliolate), 10-25cm long; 1-3 leaflets, egg-shaped or oval, dark glossy green, thick-textured, blunt, margins wavy or toothed, 8-12cm x 4-5cm; new growth bright green

Flowers: White, perfumed, about 0.3cm diameter

Flowering Period: September to December

Fruit: Berries, pale pink, 0.5-0.6cm diameter

Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from fresh seed
