Form and Size: A medium shrub, 2-3m high

Distribution: Rainforests of eastern Qld

Leaves: Pinnate, 10-15 leaflets, alternate, egg-shaped, bright green, smooth, margins scalloped, to 15cm x 6cm

Flowers: White, perfumed, about 0.8cm diameter borne in large, loose, terminal panicles

Flowering Period: August to October

Fruit: Berries, purple-mauve, leathery, egg-shaped, about 1.3cm diameter

Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from fresh seed or cuttings. Needs a shady spot in well drained, moist soil. Food plant of Orchard, Ambrax and Capaneus butterflies.
