Form and Size: Small tree to 10m

Distribution: North-eastern Qld to north-eastern NSW and PNG

Leaves: Bi-pinnate; 2-3 pairs of secondary segments, each with 4-12 leaflets, blue-green, shiny, egg-shaped, to 10cm x 4cm

Flowers: White or pink to crimson, fluffy, perfumed; in large terminal globular heads

Flowering Period: September to March

Fruit: Pods, woody, spirally twisted, about 12cm long; seeds large, glossy, black

Cultivation/Notes: Propagate from fresh seed. A very good ornamental tree, flowers are pleasantly perfumed and attract butterflies
